In Windows XP, if the buttons don't work, it means that Java isn't available and you have to install this Java software separately as Microsoft no longer supplies it as standard.

This is the manufacturers site, and if you hit the big green button on the top right for downloads, it should check the machine and see if you need the download or not. If for some reason you have some security software that blocks the download, you can do a manual download.
